Howard County
Monthly RV spaces near Big Spring, Texas
We are 43 miles west of Big Spring — about 50 minutes, nearly all of it interstate. That is a real drive, not a short one, so the first thing this page does is show you what it costs in hours.
35 of the 43 miles are one straight run
This is the simplest route of any town near us and the longest. You get on I-20 at Big Spring and you stay on it for 35 miles. Then you come off southeast of Midland onto Highway 158, and the last of it is county road. No cross-country, no two-lane, no surprises — just distance.
Road miles to the park's own map pin, checked twice through separate mapping data and rounded up rather than down. We would rather hand you five minutes than take five.
Do the arithmetic before you decide
About 50 minutes each way is roughly an hour and forty minutes of driving a day. Over a five-day hitch that is more than eight hours — a whole shift, spent on I-20, every week. Nobody at this park is going to pretend otherwise to get a space filled.
If your work is in Howard County and you can park in Big Spring, park in Big Spring. That is the right answer and we will say it out loud.
When the drive is the right call anyway
Howard County is one of the ten biggest crude-producing counties in Texas by the Railroad Commission's count, and Big Spring is a refinery town on top of that — so plenty of people there are not in the patch at all. But Big Spring sits on the same side of the basin as we do. If your work has moved west into Martin or Midland County and your family is still east, this park is the end of the drive that is closest to the work.
The other reason people come this far: a monthly space with water, electric, and sewer in the rate holds its price through August, and a motel room forty minutes closer does not. What it actually costs lays that out without the sales pitch.
What you get for the month
$400 at 30 amp, $450 at 50 amp, water, electric, and sewer included either way. 24 spaces, fenced and gated, back-in on gravel and caliche. No deposit and the first month prorated, which matters when you are moving a rig 43 miles.

How far is the park from Big Spring?
43 miles — about 50 minutes each way. 35 of those miles are one straight run of I-20.
Is that really a commute people make?
Some do, in this basin. It is about an hour and forty minutes of driving a day, and it is worth doing that sum before you sign anything, not after.
Do you take nightly or weekly stays?
No. Monthly only, 30 days minimum, yearly available.
What is included in the rate?
Water, electric, and sewer, plus wifi, laundry on site, and dumpsters. One flat monthly figure, no metered utility bill.
Do you have an office I can stop at on the way through?
No — there is no office on site. Call before you come and we will tell you what is open and which space is yours.
Can my employer be invoiced instead of me paying?
Yes, a company can be invoiced directly for a crew. The 30-day minimum still applies.
