Does my company pay for my RV space?
Plenty of Permian Basin employers do, one way or another. At A1 RV Park it works two ways: you rent the space yourself and handle it with your employer, or your company places several people at once and we invoice the company directly.
Two ways this goes
Almost every arrangement out here is one of two, and they are worth telling apart before you make the call, because they are handled differently on our end.
You arrange it yourself. You rent the space in your own name and settle up with your employer however your company does it — a housing allowance, a per diem, a reimbursement. From our side this is an ordinary monthly space, the same as any other resident. That is the "A space for myself" path on the inquiry form.
Your company places you. Somebody at your company calls about several spaces at once, and we bill the company rather than each person. That is the "Housing for my crew" path, and it is the one worth knowing about if you are the person doing the placing.
If your company is placing a crew
This section is for the company man, not the hand. A company can be invoiced directly for the spaces its crew is in — one bill to you, rather than six people each handling rent separately and six chances for one of them to forget. Employee housing starts at a 30-day minimum, runs month to month after that, and a yearly term is available if you would rather lock the spaces in for a project with a known end date.
What we cannot tell you on a web page is how many spaces are open this week. The park has 24 spaces in total, which is small enough that a six-rig crew is a real share of it. Headcount and dates, early, is the whole trick.
One thing worth putting in your own budget line: the rate is the whole recurring number. Water, electric, and sewer are inside it, so there is no metered power invoice arriving separately in August — which, in this climate, is the month that usually breaks a housing estimate.
What to ask your employer
And this part is for the hand. Before you call anybody about a space, it is worth getting four answers out of your company, because all four change what you should be asking us for.
- Is housing covered at all, and is it covered as an allowance you spend, or as something the company arranges and pays for?
- For how long. A space here is a monthly commitment, so a three-week answer and a nine-month answer lead to different conversations.
- Do they need an invoice from us, addressed to the company? If so, say that on the first call and we will set it up that way from the start rather than switching it over later.
- Who signs. Somebody has to agree to the park rules and conditions for the space, and it is cleaner to know in advance whether that is you or somebody in an office.

What we are not going to guess at
Every company handles this differently, and we are not going to tell you how yours does. What we can say is what is true on our side: a company can be invoiced directly, the minimum is 30 days, and after that it is month to month or yearly. The rest of it — how your company wants the paperwork to run — is a conversation, and it is a short one. Call or send an inquiry and we will work out the shape of it with whoever needs to be on the call.
Questions about company-paid spaces
Can my company be invoiced directly?
Yes. We bill the company for the spaces its people are in, so each hand is not sorting out rent on their own. Call and tell us who to send it to.
Can you house a whole crew?
Often, yes, and it depends on what is open when you call. There are 24 spaces in the park in total, so give us the headcount and the dates as early as you can.
Is there a minimum stay for employee housing?
30 days. After that it runs month to month, and a yearly term is available if you would rather hold the spaces.
Who do I talk to about placing several people?
Call the park directly, or send the form on this page with "Housing for my crew" selected. Crew inquiries are handled as their own path rather than queued behind individual ones.
What does my employer actually pay per person?
The space rent: $400 a month at 30 amp or $450 at 50 amp, with water, electric, and sewer included in both. There is no second utility bill behind it.
Does my company need to own the RVs?
No. Plenty of hands tow their own rig to a space their employer is paying for. The rig and the space rent are two separate questions.
If you are placing people, tell us the headcount and the dates and we will tell you straight what is open. If you are the one moving in, it is the same phone number.

How many rigs, when they arrive, and how long they are staying. We'll come back with availability and the invoicing details.
